content standards express what all students can and need
to learn in mathematics to prepare them for the study
of advanced mathematics, for science and technical careers
and for post-secondary study in all content areas. |

Count to 1,000.
Read and write numbers to 1,000.
Identify place value of each digit to 1,000.
Greater than and less than to 1,000. Using

2 and 3 digit addition with trading.
2 and 3 digit subtraction with trading.
Understand inverse relationships between addition
and subtraction problems (e.g. 3 + 4 = 7,
4 + 3 = 7).
Make reasonable estimates of addition and
subtraction problems up to 3 digit numbers.
Identify and compare fractions to 1/12. Recognize
that fractions are a part of a whole.
Know multiplication tables of 2's, 5's, 10's.
Count combinations of coins and bills and
be able to solve problems with them.
Know and use the dollar and cent symbols for
money. Know decimal notation for money. |

triangle, square, rectangle, sphere, cone,
pyramid by number of edges, faces and vertices.
