The local Mission Trails Regional Occupational Program (ROP) is located at 867 East Laurel Drive in Salinas. The phone number is (831) 753-4209.
Students enrolled in MCHCS Home Independent Study and who are at least 16 years old may participate in ROP classes. Most ROP classes will fulfill the vocational education graduation requirements.

High School Credits for ROP Classes
ROP classes offer variable credits based upon student attendance and
participation. The ROP teacher will assign credits and grades for ROP classes. Monterey County Office of Education Attendance Time spent in ROP courses may count as part of the minimum daily required hours by the MCHCS Home Independent Study Program.
 		 
  Procedures for Enrolling at ROP
1. To enroll in an ROP class, the student must come to MCHCS to meet with the ROP liaison.
2.

The ROP liaison will help handle all the necessary paperwork to get the student enrolled in the class.
3. Many classes through ROP are open entry/open exit, which means that students can enroll at other times during the semester, not just at the beginning. However, enrollment in these classes is on a space available basis.
4. A complete listing of ROP courses can be acquired from the center on East Laurel or from the MCHCS ROP liaison.
